Jeanette grew up right outside of Charlotte in Waxhaw, North Carolina.
After graduating from UNC Charlotte in 2003 with a double major in English and philosophy, Jeanette was ready for a new adventure. She headed to the northeast to attend law school at Western New England College, School of Law, in Springfield, Massachusetts, where she was a member of the 2005/2006 National Trial Moot Court Team, an active board member of the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, and the proud recipient of the 2006 CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Law and Education.
After graduating law school, Jeanette returned to Charlotte, where she began practicing with her father at a small firm handling primarily workers’ compensation defense. After 18 years of defending employers and insurance companies, Jeanette was ready for a change. She joined Wilder Pantazis in 2025. In her years of experience, Jeanette has participated in numerous mediations and successfully handled cases at both the Deputy Commissioner and Full Commission levels before the North Carolina Industrial Commission as well as the Court of Appeals. Her history of working with employers and insurance companies allows Jeanette to bring a unique and informed perspective to each claim.
Jeanette is an active member of the North Carolina Bar Association (NCBA) and served as the Chair of the Workers’ Compensation Section for the NCBA from 2023-2024. She has planned multiple continuing legal education programs for her colleagues on all areas of workers’ compensation. Jeanette is a member of the Mecklenburg Bar Association (MBA), the North Carolina Advocates for Justice (NCAJ), and the Workers’ Injury Law & Advocacy Group (WILG). Jeanette is also an NCDRC-certified mediator.
Outside of her practice, Jeanette loves spending time with her rescue pup, Leo, participating in clothing giveaways with Christ Closet, and spending time with family and friends. Jeanette is also an avid Panthers fan.
